Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening

Many common behaviors can cause tooth discoloration, including drinking coffee, tea, soda, and red wine. However, teeth whitening is affordable and efficient, and can easily counteract the yellowing effects of the aforementioned habits. Our team of dentists can offer you a variety of whitening treatments, and together we can assess which one is right for your health and your budget. In-office whitening and take-home whitening are our two whitening systems. We offer a wide range of whitening services and products, and our team can help you choose In-Office Whitening at our location. It is a chemically activated whitening treatment that offers amazing results in about an hour.

This procedure is dentist-supervised and in-office, and after just one appointment your smile will be brighter and whiter. Take-home whitening comes in a kit complete with whitening gels in customized bleaching trays; the gel is sticky so it won’t move to your gums. An additional benefit of either whitening procedure is the potassium fluoride, which strengthens enamel, decreases sensitivity, and prevents cavities, that both treatments contain. However, these whitening services must be prefaced by an exam and cleaning, because some patients cannot receive either treatment because of other dental work they have received such as crowns, veneers, or bondings, which will not lighten with whitening. Even though whitening is a great solution to tooth discoloration, patients should bear in mind that drinking coffee, tea, or red wine can eventually weaken the effects of these treatments.
